Actually, this was not the graduating class, but all of the children in Sunshine Preschool in 1961. I know because I see Kay Ayers and Sharon Ayers and Lee Clarke and Les Mizzelle and Pam Wanamaker, Cynthia Dean, Ryn Felder, Jeanie Dunwoody, Linda Fairey, Drake Johnson, Ann Wells...all these children were a younger bunch.
Some of us went on to first grade the next school year:

"Most of us went on to first grade at Sheridan Elementary School on Hillsboro Road in Orangeburg, SC. My first grade teacher was Mrs. Hazel Green. For second grade I had Mrs. Bernie Ackerman, third grade I had Mrs. Eva Covington, fourth-Mrs. Addie Sturgeon, fifth-Mrs. Bondurant (we did creative dancing in her class and went on field trips in the playground. What a fun teacher she was!), and sixth-Mrs. K. Bondurant again (I didn't fail, she moved up to teach sixth grade)"
Then on to Thackston Junior High School, then Orangeburg High School which soon became Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. Many went to Wade Hampton or Willington Academy, but not me. I did graduate a year early because the public schools were a mess at the time. I ended up homeschooling my five children.
